Data Cubes
visualization, 2011

Commissioned for the EPSRC-funded project Designing with Intent

I needed a way to interactively explore survey data from eight respondents across two different dimensions. I created this in Processing, later ported to p5.js for display online. This version uses randomized sample data.

Press keys 1 to 8 to explore the data, drag to rotate.

Originally done in Processing, ported to p5.js for online display. Find the source code here.

The survey data was collected with physical cubes on paper, seen here, next to a sample of the collected data. With students in the MRes Information Environments course I was running at the time, we then explored this approach in Second Life, and in a gallery installation. More info here.
